  • Definition of Honorarium: A payment given for professional services that are rendered nominally without charge.

  • Eligible and verified college athletes sign up and are granted a NIL contract with Honorarium. Athletes are responsible for providing content to Honorarium and promoting the platform. Honorarium pays athletes based on fan engagement. Fans are able to provide honorariums for athlete generated content.

  • NIL stand for Name, Images and Likeness. As it relates to college athletes, on July 1, 2022 the NCAA put an interim policy in place that now allows college athletes to make money off of their name, image and likeness.

  • Honorarium is the largest fan to amateur athlete community. By providing content and promoting Honorarium as a college athlete you are able to take advantage of NIL opportunities and receive honorariums for your engagement with the Honorarium platform.

  • You will need to apply using the athlete sign up button. Once you submit an application to Honorarium, the Honorarium team will verify that you are a student athlete in good standing. Once you have been verified as a student athlete in good standing you will be sent the Honorarium Universal NIL Contract. Once your universal contract has been signed you will gain access to your student athlete profile and will be able to start supplying content to the Honorarium platform.

  • No - The Honorarium universal NIL contract has been drafted in line with NCAA NIL policies and is pro student athlete. Being an Honorarium athlete will not impact your NCAA eligibility.

  • YES - Honorarium will send you a tax document at the year. As an Honorarium athlete you will be responsible for your tax withholdings.

  • Honorarium is a professional service provider (as defined by the NCAA) offering a social platform that provides college fans with a more immersive game-time experience, by giving them the ability to interact with and honor their favorite college athletes in exchange for their content on the Honorarium platform. Each student athlete will need to execute the Honorarium universal content provider agreement, which is not exclusive and the same for every student athlete. The universal agreement was prepared by Bond Schoeneck & King and aligns to state and NCAA’s NIL rules.

  • Help student athletes get paid. Fans are now able to honor college athletes by making pledges of their discretion on a profile page of an athlete.   • You can support student athletes without being a registered fan on Honorarium. To support your favorite student athlete or college team visit their profiles and you can send an Honorarium.

    To join Honorarium as a fan, hit the fan sign up button, sign up and will gain access to your fan locker room where you will be able to personalize athlete content and continue to grant honorariums to your favorite college athletes and teams.
